Use your page title

  1. With a bit of modification most page titles make perfect URLs.
  2. But try to keep the URL short so that it doesn’t get turncated in the search results.


Remove special characters
Remove all the special characters like, commas, colons, semicolons, etc, because these are unsafe charterers that don’t belongs in URLs.



Remove Numbers
It’s good to use numbers in titles but avoid using them in URLs.



Remove superfluous information

  1. Google says it’s good practice to make URLs as simple as posible.
  2. Remove anything you don’t need from the potential URL.


Make it lowercase

  1. Technically, everything after the host-name (domain) in a URL is case-sensitive, and some servers will treat them differently
  2. To be on the safe side and to avoid potential duplicate content issues, use lowercase URLs always


Replace spaces with Hyphens
URLs can’t include spaces, so replace them with hyphens
